World's Smallest Mac

It looks like a guy over at OQO Talk has "modified" his OQO so that it runs MacOS Leopard.
Bluetooth works, WiFi works, sound and power management all work, and for the skeptics out there there is even video posted (after the jump).
"The Leopard install is legitimate and works quite well. However, I am still working on two final issues which are video resolution, presently limited to 800x480, and wwan which I have not yet attempted. Sound, wifi, power management, and usb are working fine and the system is very responsive. When I have completed these final tasks I will post a review with further details."

Singapore company Tronic are announcing a new gadget at CES, or to be more exact a new PMG or "Portable Multimedia Gadget".
Basically it is like a cross between a tablet pc and a handtop pc such as the Sony U750P. It has a 1GHz Via Eden processor, 20GB hard drive (up to 80GB available), 128mb RAM (up to 512mb available), an 8.4" SVGA 600x600 pixel LCD screen, bult0in bluetooth 802.11g modean and 10/100 ethernet, has 3 USB 2.0 ports, a PCMCIA card slot, and runs Windows XP.
At 9.16" x 7.62" x 1.66" and 2.62lb it is bigger and heavier than the OQO or U750P but at $1199 it is almost half the price.
Sony Vaio U Mini-PC Coming to US

Everyone thought the Sony U50/U70 line of handtop PCs had been dropped but now Sony has announced that there will be a new version: the U750P, and that it will be available in the US.
The Sony Vaio U750P will features a low-voltage Intel Pentium-M processor at 1.1GHz with 2MB cache, 512MB RAM, 20GB hard drive, a 5" SVGA (800x600) touch sensitive screen with 64MB video RAM, 802.11b/g WiFi, a USB 2.0 port, and a CompactFlash and MemoryStick slot.
The Sony Vaio U750P comes with a docking station with 4 USB ports, eithernet and firewire but there is no bluetooth support unless you get a bluetooth CF card.
The Sony Vaio U750P runs Microsoft Windows XP Professional and should be out in December for around $2000.

OQO Price and Features

The long delayed OQO handtop PC may finally be about to be released. Rumors abound that it will be released in early October at a price of $1899.
The OQO runs windows XP but it a lot more like a mini tablet pc.
The OQO is tiny, 4.9" x 3.4" x 0.9", and weighs 14oz, but manages to pack in a 1GHz transmeta processor, a 20gb hard drive, 256mb RAM, a 800 x 480 pixel 5" lcd screen, QWERTY thumb keyboard, 802.11b and bluetooth wireless.
One downside to the long development cycle is that some of the specs are no longer as impressive as when the OQO was first announced. For the high price of the OQO I would like to have seen 1 40gb or 60gb hard drive, 512mb RAM, USB 2, 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, and a faster Transmeta efficeon processor. I also don't like the low 3hr battery life, for the sake of a few extra ounces we could have got a much better battery life.
