Logitech has announced a new mouse, the MX1000, that uses a laser instead of the usual optical sensor.

The laser is said to be 20 times as accurate as a normal optical mouse.

The MX1000 is wireless and has a cute little battery status monitor on the side.

I reviewed the MX900 bluetooth mouse and was very impressed. Expect to see a bluetooth laser version of this mouse in the next few months.
