Buy.com's phone number is pretty difficult to find. They don't list the phone number anywhere on the buy.com web site.
I needed the buy.com phone number to call their customer support to see if my wireless router (with next day shipping) would be shipping in time for my business trip, after some sleuthing online I found the number:
1-877-780-2464 Number changed to 1-800-800-0800
Warning: Don't expect the customer support people on the buy.com phone number to be all that helpful, they cant tell any more than what's listed on the web site, in my case they thought my order was still in the warehouse even though I found at later that it had been shipped 3 hours before I called them.









I used to work for Buy.com customer care. They recently pulled in the plug on the Colorado call/email center, and movied everything to India. Like DELL customer care, you will now be seeing an EXTREME difference in quality. Sad what corporate greed will does.
If you try to speak to someone in the US, they just tell you that you cannot. I wanted more information on a product offered and, of course, could not get anything. My buy.com days are over.
Buy.com customer service is terrible. I bought a portable DVD player that was defective. I had to return it via UPS ground, then it took 2 weeks for them to process it, and then sent a new one also via ground. It shouldn't take a month to get a replacement item. Plus, the new one didn't come with a case as the defedtive one had. Won't deal with them again
This is my first order from Buy.com. I ordered a Lexar 1GB USB Jump Drive Sport on October 9, 04. I haven't received it yet that the order sent to warehourse. There is a $30 mail-in rebate which must be postmarked within 30 days of purchase date. Today is Nov 4 alreaday, so I called Buy.com Toll-free number to cancel my order. The Buy.Com Order Expert said I will receive a cancellation number in 5 to 6 business days. If I receive the item, they will charge on my credit and I have to pay for the postages. I will never ever order anything from Buy.com.
I ordered a hard drive in stock (said "ships in 1-2 days") for next day delivery because I needed it ASAP. One week passes and I get an automated e-mail saying my order is still being fulfilled by the warehouse, and this is after I write in twice to their reps! I finally called them up and talked to the clueless customer service and they were no help. Buy.com... no more.
I bought a wireless card, and received a mail saying they could not confirm my information, so they cancelled the order.....when I tried to place the order again, they sent another mail, saying I have not funds....so I checked my card transactions, and they actually charged my card, but cancelled the order...it's been 4 days and I haven't received any comment about it...terrible customer service, plus maybe I'm gonna lose my money...I'll come back later to tell you how it ends...

I ordered an SD Card from Buy.Com. The item showed as shipped two days later. However, 5 days after that, the shipping company e-mailed me to say that they never recieved the item from Buy.com warehouse. I e-mailed buy.com customer support, and that was a joke. I never received anything back except for unhelpful links to the site. I tracked down their 877-780-2464 number (which is still working). The told me I had to wait 13 business days after the items shipped before I could file a claim, even though the shipper has no record of it. I called yesterday and they said today was the first day I could file a claim online. WRONG. Now they're telling me I have to wait until Friday. Without a doubt, the worst customer service ever. I will never buy from Buy.com again.

I will no longer purchase from buy.com. The phone number works but the representatives are from India and very difficult to understand. Than they were of no assistance. All I wanted was someone to call FedEx and authorize shipment without a signature. Packages are delivered to me every day without a problem. I even have a tear off signature on my door. But Buy.com requires a signature at the door. Needless to say, I had to wait home all day on a Saturday for a small item or drive 45 minutes each way to the FedEx terminal.
Buy.com is the worst company I have ever done business with. And it was my first time. They canceled one order at my request as I required additional quantity but could not edit order. 2nd order was canceled after 1 hour stating my address was invalid (that's crap). So..2 canceled orders...BUT THEY TOOK MY MONEY FROM PAYPAL ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!!

I placed an order, only to receive an email the next day that they need to confirm my address. Ok, I call them up, we do that, they say thank you, the order will be escalated to a confirmation team which will take another 24-48 hours.
What?! I just confirmed with the person on the phone. They need to type an email to another team to click a button to confirm we chatted? Ridiculous!
I say, ok, nevermind, just cancel the order. I will place a new order with the same billing and shipping info (so there is zero confusion) and it will be faster than waiting 24-48 hours for confirmation.
Sure, we can do that the rep tells me. Only, it isn't really a cancellation. It is a "request to cancel". Guess what, it takes 24-48 hours to be confirmed.

By the way, customer care is just ridiculous! They tell you that they would put you on their supervisor, but ultimately you would be talking to the guy at same level. Just gimmicks, Beware!
I asked for a price match, they said it is one of their policy that they don't do price match since I opted for free shipping. How the hell that would be a matter when they offer it still on the new price?!?!

WHAT A SCAM! I just bought something on Buy.com because they had an offer saying "SAVE $30 INSTANTLY" for applying for a buy.com VISA. I applied for the card, only to get a message that the card would arrive in 30 days, and THEN I could use the $30 credit to purchase something on my card. Waiting 30 days is NOT my idea of an "INSTANT" saving. Christmas will be over in 30 days. What a total rip-off.
buy.com sucks. do not purchase anything from there. they do not respond to emails with 24 - 48 hours. i ordered two SanDisk Sansa Fuze MP3 Players for my sons for christmas and they only shipped one but the packing list said they shipped two. i sent them three emails over 6 days and no response. so i found their # on this site and called it. they said it would take 3-5 business days to process my claim and them 7-9 business days to ship the product. which is AFTER christmas. they couldn't give a crap about their customer service or the lack of it. NEVER BUY FROM BUY.COM. they don't care about their customers. BTW their new # is 800-800-0800.
