Sony: big OLED panels by March 2010

sony oled

Sony has announced an additional investment of 22 billion Yen ($210m) towards production of medium to large OLEDs with a goal of having everything up and running during their 2009 fiscal year (which ends March 2010).

This put them on a schedule to begin selling OLEDs at the same time as Samsung.

Competition like this is good for the consumer and should hopefully result in lower prices for OLEDs.
