AT&T are launching two new handsets on May 4th that support MediaFLO Mobile TV: the LG Vu ($300 with 2yr contract) and the Samsung Access ($200 with 2yr contract).
The TV broadcasts will be available in 58 cities and there are 10 channels available. The Mobile TV service will cost $15 a month for unlimited access.
One interesting thought: in an emergency (9/11, Katrina etc) the normal cellphone network gets overloaded, as MediaFLO operates on a separate network you would still be able to get CNN or Fox News to keep abreast of events if you were caught up in the emergency.
