iPod Mini Humidity Problems

ipod mini humidity problems

On my recent gadget review trip I encountered a problem with my iPod mini and I am wondering if anyone else has had the same problem:

Inside my hotel room it was cool (68 degrees) and the air was dry, outside it was 95 degrees and very high humidity (glasses and camera lens steamed up immediately when going outside).

Most days I relaxed by the pool and listened to music or audiobooks, but one day the iPod mini wouldn’t startup, the screen stayed blank.

I know the battery was fully charged but the iPod mini wouldn’t work at the pool or later that day in the room.

I left the iPod mini in my room and the following day it worked perfectly again, my guess it was the humidity and the mini needed to dry out before it would startup again.

Anyone else encountered a similiar problem with an iPod?
