First BD-Live Blu-Ray player priced at $700

Panasonic has announced the pricing of the first BD-Live Blu-Ray 2.0 player (i.e. the first standalone player that finally catches up with what HD-DVD players were capable of all along).

The Panasonic DMP-BD50 is priced at $700 and has BD-Live (requires an ethernet connection), decodes DTS and Dolby Digital internally, has 1080p/24 playback, and a SD card slot.
